Shantanu Maheshwari, the renowned actor celebrated for his performances in films such as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, and Campus Beats, has fallen prey to a cyber fraud attack. Taking to social media, the 32-year-old actor shared the alarming details of the incident, shedding light on the importance of online security and urging caution among his followers.
Through an Instagram story, the Dil Dosti Dance actor disclosed that his Axis bank account had been targeted by fraudsters. Shockingly, a card was generated without his knowledge, and his registered email ID, phone number, and address were altered without any verification or receipt of OTP (One-Time Password).
Expressing his disbelief and frustration, Maheshwari wrote, “Unbelievable! My Axis bank account was hit by fraud… Would really appreciate taking swift action to restore security and resolve this unsettling situation.”
On the professional front, Maheshwari is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, co-starring Tabu and Ajay Devgn. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 26, marking Pandey’s directorial return after six years.
For those unfamiliar with Shantanu’s career, he has been a part of various TV shows, including Boogie Woogie, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, and Nach Baliye 9. His big-screen debut was in 2022 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.
