Suhani Bhatnagar, renowned for her impactful role in the blockbuster film “Dangal,” has tragically passed away at the age of 19. The news of her untimely demise was confirmed by Aamir Khan Productions, the production company associated with the film, which took to social media to express their grief.
The cause of Suhani’s death remains unclear, though a close relative informed PTI that she passed away at AIIMS on Friday. While the exact circumstances leading to her death were not disclosed, media reports suggest she faced medical complications subsequent to a leg fracture. She had been admitted to the hospital on February 7 and, unfortunately, succumbed to her condition on February 16.
Aamir Khan Productions conveyed their condolences through a heartfelt tweet: “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
Suhani rose to prominence for her role as the young Babita Phogat in “Dangal” (2016), a film that also starred Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, and Zaira Wasim. Following her success in the movie, she ventured into appearing in advertisements. Some reports indicate that her death may be linked to fluid accumulation throughout her body, a reaction to medications administered after an accident.
