The spotlight is back on Bengaluru’s renowned Rameshwaram Cafe as an internet user recently shared insights into its inception and remarkable journey to fame. What grabbed the attention of social media users was the staggering monthly earnings of the eatery.
Reportedly, Rameshwaram Cafe rakes in an impressive ₹4.5 crore per month, translating to an annual revenue exceeding ₹50 crore. The revelation sparked discussions online, with Sejal Sud, the user who shared the details, highlighting the financial success of the cafe on ‘X’.
Specializing in traditional South Indian breakfast fare, such as ghee podi idli and masala dosa, the cafe was founded in 2021 by Divya and Raghavendra Rao. The two entrepreneurs, whose paths crossed through a mutual friend, opened the first branch in Indiranagar.
Divya, with a post-graduation degree from IIM Ahmedabad and a CA background, joined forces with Raghavendra, who had been immersed in the food industry for over 15 years. Notably, Raghavendra’s journey started by serving dosas and idlis from a food cart in Seshadripuram.
Sejal Sud shared a series of posts detailing the launch and expansion of Rameshwaram Cafe. In addition to winning acclaim for its delectable offerings, the cafe has made a social impact by employing over 200 people.
Future plans for Rameshwaram Cafe include the opening of more outlets in Bengaluru and expanding to other cities in India and abroad. The founders, Divya and Raghavendra, aspire to franchise their brand, envisioning a global presence. The duo aims to introduce innovative and healthy dishes as part of their culinary offerings.
