DRDO’s missile will be a ‘catastrophe’ for enemies

The Defense Research and Development Organization has successfully test-fired a short-range ballistic missile for the first time.

Pralay missiles can destroy enemy targets at a range of 150 to 500 km. That is, when fired from close to the border, it will take no time to destroy enemy bunkers, cannons, hideouts, etc. Pralay is a short range ballistic missile. It is designed for ground to ground hitting. DRDO has built it on India’s reliable Prithvi Missile System. DRDO successfully test-fired the missile on 22 December 2021 at 10.30 am from Odisha’s APJ Abdul Kalam Island.

The weight of this missile is 5 tons. It can carry 500 to 1000 kg of conventional weapons. It is a missile that operates on an inertial guidance system. The Pralay missile was approved in March 2015. A budget of 332.88 crores was approved for it. The Pralay missile has an accuracy of 10 meters i.e. 33 feet to destroy the target.

This means that if the missile lands within a 33-foot radius of the target, it will do as much damage as it would have if it had hit the exact target. The advantage of having a short distance is that if you deploy it on the western or eastern or northern border of the country, only that area will be destroyed, as much as you need. Will not cause unnecessary harm.
