Its a good news for India! Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is set to make a triumphant return to the cricketing area in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, as confirmed by Delhi Capitals director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly. Despite sustaining multiple injuries, Pant has made a swift recovery, and his return to the field is eagerly anticipated.

The Delhi Capitals skipper’s accident sent shockwaves through the cricketing community, with fans and fellow players expressing concern for his well-being. Now, with his remarkable comeback on the horizon, the cricketing fraternity is collectively relieved and excited to witness Pant back in action.

Sourav Ganguly, the former India captain and the current director of cricket for Delhi Capitals, provided an update on Pant’s health and plans for the upcoming IPL season. “He’s good now. He will play in the IPL next season,” Ganguly assured reporters, putting an end to speculations about Pant’s cricketing future.

The road to recovery for Pant has been a challenging one, with the young cricketer back on his feet after a 40-day period marked by intense rehabilitation and recuperation. Pant’s resilience and determination have been nothing short of inspirational, showcasing the mental fortitude that is characteristic of elite athletes.

Pant’s return to the field was celebrated during a recent training session at the Jadavpur University Salt Lake Campus ground, where he joined his Delhi Capitals teammates. This symbolic moment marked the beginning of his journey back into the cricketing fold, and fans are eagerly awaiting his on-field exploits in the upcoming IPL season.

While Pant won’t be actively practicing during his visit, Ganguly emphasized that there is ample time for him to prepare for the rigorous demands of professional cricket. “There’s still time for him to get down to practice. By January (2024), he’ll get even better,” Ganguly remarked, shedding light on the meticulous planning surrounding Pant’s return.

In addition to his physical recovery, Pant’s strategic acumen as a captain remains a key asset for Delhi Capitals. Ganguly revealed that Pant’s visit is not just about his return to playing but also involves discussions about team-building and strategizing ahead of the IPL auctions scheduled to take place in Dubai on December 19.

“Rishabh won’t be practicing here though. There’s still time for him to get down to practice. By January (2024), he’ll get even better,” Ganguly explained. “We were talking about the team. He is the captain, so he put in his views regarding the upcoming auction. That’s the reason he has come here, to finalize certain aspects related to the team.”

The absence of Pant during the last IPL season saw Australian opener David Warner taking on the leadership role for Delhi Capitals, guiding the team to a commendable second-from-the-bottom finish. Pant’s return is expected to bolster the team’s morale, providing the much-needed leadership and batting prowess.

As Pant continues his journey of recovery and preparation, the cricketing world eagerly anticipates his return to the field. His resilience, both in overcoming physical setbacks and contributing strategically to his team, is a testament to his commitment to the sport. The next IPL season promises to be a memorable one for Rishabh Pant and his legion of fans as he dons the captain’s armband once again, ready to lead Delhi Capitals to new heights.
