It is said that a woman’s adornment is incomplete until she wears a bindi on her forehead. Pavagarh temple also had the same situation for the last 500 years. The temple was decorated with gold by the devotees but there was no such flag flying on its dome. This flag-shaped dot has finally appeared after 500 years in the sixteen adornments of the mother.

Many generations came and went. but the dome of the temple always longed for this night flag. But this loss has been completed in almost 500 years. This date of Krishna Panchami, Pancham, Vikram Samvat 2079 is written in golden letters in the pages of history. As soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted this temple flag, he erased the stigma of oppressive and poisonous ruler Mahmood Begda.

Who was poisoned Mahmood Begda?

Mahmud Begda came from a European country in 1511 with the intention of ruling India. He ruled Champaner, Vadodara, Junagadh, Kutch regions of Gujarat. He was very cruel and aggressive. He used to take poison in his food daily. It is said that it was so poisonous that if a fly sat on it, it would die. Begda used to eat 35 kg of food every day.

He used to eat 150 bananas for breakfast. He was so radical that he killed those who did not accept Islam. Begda destroyed many temples during his reign. It also includes Pavagadh temple.

Mahmood Begda

In 1540 Begda attacked Pavagadh and broke the spire of the temple. Begda broke the peak and built the dargah of Sadanshah Pir. And this is why the flag was not hoisted on the temple. However, in 2017, the work to transform the temple was started.

The dargah was moved to another location unscathed and in a spirit of harmony. The temple was renovated at a cost of four and a half years and costing Rs 125 crores. And Mahakali Mata was given her honor back… which is seen floating in the night air in the sacred atmosphere of Pavagadh.

After hoisting the flag on the temple, the Prime Minister said that today, after a century, the flag has been hoisted once again on the peak of Pavagadh temple. This Shikhar flag is not only a symbol of our faith and spirituality but this Shikhar flag is also a symbol of the fact that generations change, ages come and go. But the pinnacle of faith is always eternal.

PM Modi has immense feelings for his mother and that is why he expressed his happiness to meet the mother on entering her centenary year and sought her blessings.

As Prime Minister Modi’s mother Heerba has entered the centenary year, PM Narendra Modi reached her home at Raisan in Gandhinagar early in the morning to take her blessings. When PM Modi comes to Gujarat, he always goes to meet Achuk Mata Hiraba, even today on the mother’s 100th birthday, Modi went to meet her specially. Today PM Modi also took a birthday gift for mother.

Took blessings of my mother today as she enters her 100th year… pic.twitter.com/lTEVGcyzdX
— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) June 18, 2022

On this occasion, PM washed the mother’s feet, garlanded her with a shawl and took her blessings. Then the mother was sweetened for entering the 100th year.. and was seen talking to the mother. Modi, the world’s greatest powerful personality, was seen sitting on the floor like a simple son talking to his mother, which shows the vision of PM Modi’s simplicity.

On mother’s birthday, Chandipath was also organized at her house today, while PM spent half an hour with mother and then left for Pavagadh.
