Kejriwal’s arrest stems from his alleged involvement in a money laundering case related to an excise policy. The ED arrested him at his official residence on Thursday, following which a court granted custody to the central agency until March 28th.

Despite his detention, Kejriwal remains actively engaged in the governance of Delhi. He directed the deployment of water tankers in areas facing scarcity to bolster the water supply ahead of the approaching summer months. Atishi revealed that Kejriwal instructed the issuance of directives to the chief secretary and other officials, while also suggesting seeking assistance from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena if necessary.
