According to a recent survey, 2.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer, with 6,70,000 deaths occurring globally. This disorder can affect women all around the world at any age after puberty. In India, one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every four minutes, and one woman dies from it every eight minutes.

Even if it is such a serious health concern for women, why isn’t the world fighting back. Breast cancer affects approximately 99% of women, whereas men account for 0.5-1% of cases. Ageing, alcohol, a family history of breast cancer, reproductive history, tobacco use, and postmenopausal hormone therapy are all risk factors for breast cancer.

Following are some signs and symptoms one can have : 

• a breast lump or thickening, often without pain 
• change in size, shape or appearance of the breast
• dimpling, redness, pitting or other changes in the skin
• change in nipple appearance 

It’s high time to initiate global awareness campaigns that consider women’s health.

It’s often more about the memories, emotions, or lessons attached to the film rather than its popularity. For me, one special movie is “Interstellar.” It resonates with me a lot because I’m a bit of a space nerd, but not only that, I found the movie very captivating and meaningful.
I watched it at home with a few of my friends on a 15-inch dusty laptop screen.
But the small screen and the surroundings didn’t seem to matter since I was easily grasped by it.
The movie starts with a scene in a cornfield in a world where people seem to be narrow-minded,
perhaps because they are close to a world ending. The main character, Cooper, is a father and a trained NASA pilot. He is also too optimistic and smart maybe that’s how I resonate with him. The interesting part for me starts when they fire into space to explore other worlds.

In our real world, humans are not able to do that yet, at least not farther than the moon, but I’m excited for that day. I also just liked the aesthetics and other props used in the spaceship to make it look real. Not to mention the acting skills. The director, Christopher Nolan, is renowned for not using CGI in his movies to make the experience as real as possible for the actors as well as the viewers.
 Later in the movie, they encounter other planets that are potentially habitable for humans, one of which is near a ‘Black Hole.’ Even if you know a little bit about black holes, you know that they are fascinating. A phenomenon that occurs near black holes is called time dilation, where time passes slower relative to other places near black holes. This eventually leads to a scenario where Cooper has to witness his children growing up, going through various stages of life, and becoming adults in a matter of minutes. This has a significant emotional impact on the father, which is beautifully displayed by the actor. For me, I had always known about General Relativity and black holes through reading or the internet, but I hadn’t yet seen the concept being played out in a movie. There are lots of movies showing time dilation, but none as good as ‘Interstellar.’
 Furthermore, the movie did have a happy ending even though Cooper fell into a black hole. But I thoroughly enjoyed watching this sci-fi masterpiece.
