Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum has been ordered by the London High Court to pay 555 billion rupees (£554 million) to settle a custody battle with his ex-wife and two children. Britain’s High Court ordered King to pay this amount for the divorce settlement and the children’s secure future. This is one of the most expensive divorces in British history. Princess Haya is the daughter of former King Hussein of Jordan.

Shaikh will pay a sum of 554 million pounds to the princess. Out of this amount, 251.5 million pounds approximately Rs 2500 crore will be given to Princess Haya. Along with this, 290 million pounds approximately 2900 crore rupees will be kept in the bank in the form of security for the safe future of both their children. Apart from this, 11.2 million pounds approximately Rs 112 crores will have to be given every year when the children grow up. Rajkumari Haya demanded 1.4 billion pounds approximately Rs 14000 crore for this settlement. Princess Haya is Sheikh Mohammed’s sixth wife.
