As the clock struck 6.25 in the morning, the 2-year wait of Baba Kedar’s devotees was over and the devotees were immersed in Baba’s devotion. For 2 years Baba’s cupboards kept opening at his time but the devotees were deprived of his darshan and finally the time came. Baba also gave darshan and blessings to the devotees..On the auspicious muhurta, Baba Kedar’s doli was brought to the temple premises accompanied by an army band from the residence of the chief priest of Kedarnath and the cupboards were opened with the proclamation of Jai Kedar. CM Pushkarsinh Dhami of Uttarakhand along with 10,000 devotees took the blessings of Baba Kedarnath during the first puja in the name of Prime Minister Modi.

Baba’s temple is decorated with 10 quintals of flowers. On Thursday, Lord Kedarnath’s panchmukhi doli reached Kedarnath Dham against the cheers of devotees. Baba’s doli was duly placed in front of the temple. Along with this, religious traditions were also observed. Early in the morning Baba Kedarnath’s festival doli was offered bhog by the chief priest and regular puja was performed. The Kedarnath Dham echoed with the chants of the gold band.

Although the pilgrimage has started, the devotees are still being requested to follow the Corona rules. Now the devotees will be able to have darshan and worship at Baba Kedarnath for 6 months.
