]]> In another tragic incident, Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, an Indian-origin student studying in Ohio, has passed away in the United States, adding to a recent series of Indian student deaths within a week. The Indian Embassy in New York has confirmed the unfortunate demise, and while the cause of death remains unclear, the police are conducting an investigation, ruling out foul play at this stage.

Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student at the Lindner School of Business in Cincinnati, has become another heartbreaking addition to the list of Indian students who have lost their lives in the US. The Indian Embassy expressed its condolences on social media, stating, “Deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of Mr. Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student of Indian origin in Ohio. Police investigation is underway. At this stage, foul play is not suspected. The Consulate continues to remain in touch with the family and is extending all possible assistance to them.”

This recent incident follows the death of Neel Acharya, an Indian-American student at Purdue University in Indiana, who was found dead on the campus after being reported missing. The authorities were alerted about a possible deceased individual on Sunday morning. The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s office later identified the body as that of a “college-aged male.” These unfortunate events highlight the need for continued support and awareness to ensure the well-being and safety of international students studying in the US.
