Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata has passed away at the age of 86. Information about Ratan Tata’s death was announced late on Wednesday night.
Ratan Naval Tata was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was suffering from age related ailments.

On Monday too, there was news of him being admitted to the ICU. However, then they said I was fine, nothing to worry about. In 2008, Ratan Tata received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award. Earlier, he was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2000.

On Ratan Tata’s demise, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekhar said, ‘We bid farewell to Ratan Tata with a deep sense of loss. He was more than a chairman for the Tata group. To me he was a guru, a guide and a friend.

President Draupadi Murmu wrote on X, “India has lost an icon who blended nation building with corporate growth and excellence with ethics. Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan awardee Ratan Tata has carried forward the legacy of the Tata Group.”

Within a swift 10 days of posting her letter, Sudha received a reply from JRD Tata himself, inviting her for a job interview in Pune. Not only that, but Mr. Tata ensured that the company covered her traveling expenses. This transformative moment led Sudha to become the first female engineer at TELCO, setting a precedent for gender inclusion in the workplace.

Sudha and Narayana Murthy’s Love Story:

While working at TELCO, Sudha’s path crossed with N.R. Narayana Murthy, introduced by their mutual friend Prasanna, now the global head of Wipro. Friendship blossomed into love, and despite societal norms, Sudha and Narayana Murthy got married in 1978. Sudha emerged as Narayana Murthy’s strongest pillar, supporting his vision and dreams.
