As the clock struck 6.25 in the morning, the 2-year wait of Baba Kedar’s devotees was over and the devotees were immersed in Baba’s devotion. For 2 years Baba’s cupboards kept opening at his time but the devotees were deprived of his darshan and finally the time came. Baba also gave darshan and blessings to the devotees..On the auspicious muhurta, Baba Kedar’s doli was brought to the temple premises accompanied by an army band from the residence of the chief priest of Kedarnath and the cupboards were opened with the proclamation of Jai Kedar. CM Pushkarsinh Dhami of Uttarakhand along with 10,000 devotees took the blessings of Baba Kedarnath during the first puja in the name of Prime Minister Modi.

Baba’s temple is decorated with 10 quintals of flowers. On Thursday, Lord Kedarnath’s panchmukhi doli reached Kedarnath Dham against the cheers of devotees. Baba’s doli was duly placed in front of the temple. Along with this, religious traditions were also observed. Early in the morning Baba Kedarnath’s festival doli was offered bhog by the chief priest and regular puja was performed. The Kedarnath Dham echoed with the chants of the gold band.

Although the pilgrimage has started, the devotees are still being requested to follow the Corona rules. Now the devotees will be able to have darshan and worship at Baba Kedarnath for 6 months.

Golu Deity is widely known for his justice, although there are many temples of Golu Deity in Uttarakhand, however, the most famous and center of faith is the Chitai Golu Deity Temple in Almora district. The crowd of devotees in this temple complex and the constant ringing of the bells can be attributed to the folk love of the Golu deity.

Golu is worshiped as the supreme god of justice in the local culture. He is called Rajavanshi Dev. Golu deity is called by many names in Uttarakhand. One of these names is Gaur Bhairav. Golu Deity is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. A bell is offered in the temple when the wish is fulfilled.

The Golu deity is considered to be an incarnation of both Shiva and Krishna. People from not only Uttarakhand but also from abroad visit this temple of Golu deity. Seeing the temple bell, you will realize that any devotee’s wish is never fulfilled here. A letter has to be written for a wish.

The temple has a collection of lakhs of unique bells. Devotees ring the bell here only when the wish is fulfilled. At the Chittai Golu temple, devotees write Chitthi for wishes. Not only this, many people demand justice for themselves by writing on stamp paper.

Eight kilometers from Almora on the Pithoraag highway is the Chittai Golu temple. There is a magnificent temple of Golu deity here. Inside the temple there is an idol of Golu deity, holding a bow and arrow, on a white horse, wearing a white turban on his head. Devotees from far and wide come to this temple to seek justice.

It is said that one who does not get justice reaches the shelter of Golu deity and after that he gets justice. Golu temple is located at a distance of 400 km from Delhi. If you want to visit this temple you can get a bus from Anand Vihar directly to Almora. Also, you can also go to Haldwani from Delhi first and then you can take a train from here to Almora.
