Celebrations are in full swing for Vicky Kaushal and his fans as the actor achieves another milestone. Following the success of “Sam Bahadur,” the 35-year-old national award-winning actor has garnered a unique achievement – becoming the first Indian actor to be followed by Instagram’s official page. This news has sent waves of excitement among his fan base, with announcements trending across various platforms.

Despite having a comparatively modest following of over 16.7 million on Instagram, Vicky Kaushal’s recognition by the official Instagram page is a noteworthy achievement. This places him in an exclusive position, surpassing other prominent Indian celebrities in terms of recognition by the social media giant.

As of now, the most-followed Instagram account globally is Instagram itself, boasting over 665 million followers. Renowned figures like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi hold the second and third positions with 615 million and 495 million followers, respectively.

In the Indian context, Vicky Kaushal’s accomplishment adds a new dimension to Instagram popularity. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli currently holds the title of the most-followed Asian on Instagram, with over 265 million followers. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra Jonas stands as the most-followed Indian female on the platform, amassing over 90.1 million followers.

Vicky Kaushal’s journey in 2023 has been marked by notable film projects. His collaboration with Sara Ali Khan in the romantic comedy “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke” received critical acclaim and achieved significant commercial success, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark globally. Later in the year, he took on the titular role in the family film “The Great Indian Family,” garnering praise for his performance.

The highlight of Kaushal’s year was the portrayal of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw, in the biopic ‘Sam Bahadur,’ which crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the global box office. As the year came to a close, he made a special appearance in the comedy-drama ‘Dunki,’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu.

Looking ahead to 2024, Vicky Kaushal is set to enthrall audiences with his role in the romantic comedy ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam,’ directed by Anand Tiwari and co-starring Triptii Dimri. The actor’s rising trajectory and unique Instagram recognition mark him as a prominent figure in the Indian entertainment industry.
