Another tragic incident has unfolded in the United States as yet another Indian student has lost their life, this time under horrifying circumstances. Paruchuri Abhijit, a 20-year-old student hailing from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, was pursuing his engineering studies at Boston University. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was murdered on the university campus.

Abhijit’s family, devastated by the news, revealed that he had only recently embarked on his academic journey abroad, against initial opposition from his mother. His parents, Paruchuri Chakradhar and Srilakshmi, are now left to cope with the unimaginable loss of their only son.

According to reports, Abhijit’s body was discovered concealed inside an abandoned car deep within a forest on the university campus. The circumstances surrounding his death are shrouded in mystery, with authorities yet to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act. Despite efforts by the police to trace Abhijit’s whereabouts after he was reported missing by friends, no arrests have been made thus far.

The Indian community, both at home and abroad, has been shaken by this tragic incident, which marks the ninth such tragedy involving individuals of Indian origin in the US in 2024 alone. Calls for justice have reverberated across social media platforms, with many demanding a thorough investigation into Abhijit’s death.

Amidst growing concerns over the safety of Indian students in the US, voices of condemnation have been raised against the authorities. The surge in violent attacks targeting Indian students has sparked outrage and calls for action to ensure the safety and security of those studying abroad.

This tragic loss adds to a string of similar incidents involving Indian students in the US, including the recent deaths of Venkataramana Pittala and Amarnath Ghosh, among others. The White House has pledged to address these alarming trends and prevent further attacks on Indians and Indian-American students.

As investigations into Abhijit’s death continue, his family, friends, and the broader Indian community mourn his untimely passing, underscoring the urgent need for measures to safeguard the lives of students pursuing their dreams abroad.
