In this category, India has also sent the film ‘Lapata Ladies’ for the 97th Oscars 2025. The Film Federation of India recently announced that Kiran Rao’s directorial debut Lapta Ladies will be India’s official entry to the Oscars. The film was selected from a list of films made in 29 different languages.
Reportedly, Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ has been chosen for the Oscars after ‘Lapata Ladies’. The film was released on the big screen this year. ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is Randeep Hooda’s blood and sweat film.
