Ratan Tata: The country’s ‘Ratan’ said goodbye to the world…

Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata has passed away at the age of 86. Information about Ratan Tata’s death was announced late on Wednesday night. 
Ratan Naval Tata was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was suffering from age related ailments.

On Monday too, there was news of him being admitted to the ICU. However, then they said I was fine, nothing to worry about. In 2008, Ratan Tata received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award. Earlier, he was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2000.

On Ratan Tata’s demise, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekhar said, ‘We bid farewell to Ratan Tata with a deep sense of loss. He was more than a chairman for the Tata group. To me he was a guru, a guide and a friend.

President Draupadi Murmu wrote on X, “India has lost an icon who blended nation building with corporate growth and excellence with ethics. Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan awardee Ratan Tata has carried forward the legacy of the Tata Group.”
